The Association of Doctoral Students of the Jagiellonian University knows that one’s doctoral studies are not only hitting the books and spending hours in the lab, but also a time for meetings with friends and an opportunity celebrate events that are worth celebrating together. We organize numerous cyclical events as well as those held on special occasions; they are open to all who are interested. At the beginning of every academic year, we hold an integration party, which is an opportunity for new students to become familiar with the doctoral students’ milieu and become familiar with the reality of third-cycle studies. We periodically organize thematic parties; for example, St. Andrew’s festivities (Andrzejki), St. Nicholas Day, or holiday meetings. In June, meanwhile, we traditionally conclude the academic year in a summer farewell gala.
