THE LAND OF FERTILITY
South-east of the Mediterranean from
the beginning of the Bronze Age to the Muslim Conquest
To be held in the Institute of Archaeology, Jagiellonian University in Kraków
on 10th – 11th June 2016
The international conference welcomes all Post-graduate researchers in the subject-area of Archaeology, History, Art History, Culture & Religion Studies who are interested in issues related to ancient Egypt (especially Delta region), Cyprus, Levant, Mesopotamia and Persia.
This year the main theme of the conference is migration of people, goods and thoughts in ancient times and its influences on civilization in both material and spiritual culture. Did the immigrants help in the development of ancient states or bring them to collapse?
The presentations will be grouped into several sections according to their focus and should not exceed 20 minutes. The number of active participants is also limited. The conference committee reserves the right to select the contributions to be published in the Conference Proceedings.

Registrations for the conference: by 31st March 2016
Notification of acceptance: by 30th April 2016
Submission of the presentation file (supported by MS Office 2010) for the conference proceedings (required for the participation in the conference): 5th June 2016
Conference 10th – 11th June 2016

The organizers are not able to pay travel or accommodation expenses of the active participants. Nevertheless, we will be happy to provide assistance with accommodation, especially for the foreign participants.
