Od dziś w Szkole Doktorskiej Nauk Ścisłych i Przyrodniczych UJ zostają wdrożone trzy komunikaty - w sprawie zapobiegania i rozwiązywania sytuacji konfliktowych, w sprawie wsparcia dla doktorantów z niepełnosprawnościami oraz doktorantów - rodziców małych dzieci. Analogiczne regulacje będą wprowadzone wkrótce w innych Szkołach Doktorskich UJ. TD UJ uczestniczyło w procesie konsultacji tych komunikatów.

Drodzy,

Informuję, że ukazały się trzy nowe komunikaty Dyrektora Szkoły Doktorskiej Nauk Ścisłych i Przyrodniczych.
Pierwszy z nich:
Komunikat nr 7/2024 Dyrektora SDNŚiP z dn. 8 lipca 2024 r. w sprawie: zapobiegania i rozwiązywania sytuacji konfliktowych 
wprowadza procedurę postępowania w przypadku sytuacji konfliktowych. Wydaje się, że wiele z pojawiających się sytuacji konfliktowych pomiędzy promotorami a doktorantami można było uniknąć uzgadniając zasady współpracy. Załącznik do tego komunikatu zawiera listę przykładowych potencjalnych tematów, które warto z promotorem omówić. Chociaż taka rozmowa powinna się odbyć na samym początku współpracy, a zatem będzie najbardziej przydatna osobom dopiero podejmującym kształcenie, na wyjaśnienie niepokojących Państwa kwestii nigdy nie jest za późno. Wszelkie trudne sytuacje dużo prościej rozwiązywać na początku, kiedy konflikt nie przybrał na sile

Przypomnę, że w razie różnego rodzaju problemów zawsze możecie się Państwo zwrócić do Kierowników Programów Kształcenia lub do mnie – zarówno gdy oczekujecie jedynie porady, jak i w sytuacji, gdy uważacie, że potrzebne są działania ze strony Szkoły.

Proszę także zauważyć, że na Uniwersytecie są również inne komórki do których można się zwrócić w trudnej sytuacji. Są one wymienione w komunikacie. 

Kolejne dwa komunikaty,
Komunikat nr 8/2024 Dyrektora SDNŚiP UJ z dn. 8 lipca 2024 r. w sprawie: wsparcia dla osób z niepełnosprawnościami i specjalnymi potrzebami edukacyjnymi
Komunikat nr 9/2024 Dyrektora SDNŚiP UJ z dn. 8 lipca 2024 r. w sprawie: wsparcia dla doktorantek i doktorantów będących rodzicami małych dzieci lub sprawujących opiekę nad chorym członkiem rodziny lub dzieckiem posiadającym orzeczenie o niepełnosprawności
dotyczą dodatkowej pomocy dla osób z niepełnosprawnościami, rodziców małych dzieci, bądź innych osób w trudnej sytuacji życiowej. Jak możecie przeczytać komunikaty te są dosyć ogólne, jako, że niemożliwe jest zestawienie wszystkich wyzwań z jakimi takie osoby mogą się mierzyć. Tym niemniej deklaruję, że jeżeli dodatkowe wsparcie będzie możliwe to Szkoła będzie działać w tym kierunku. Uprzedzając pytania - nie jest możliwe udzielenie przez Szkołę wsparcia finansowego. Wynika to zarówno z przepisów prawnych jak i ograniczonego budżetu szkoły.

Dodam, że analogiczne komunikaty zostaną wprowadzone również w pozostałych Szkołach Doktorskich UJ.

Dziękuję wszystkim osobom, które konsultowały te komunikaty, w szczególności członkom Towarzystwa Doktorantów.

A message from the Director of the Doctoral School of Exact and Natural Sciences, prof. Roman Skibiński:

Dears,

I would like to inform you that three new Communiques of the Director of the Doctoral School of Exact and Natural Sciences have been published.

First of them,
Communique no. 7/2024 Director of the Doctoral School of Exact and Natural Sciences of July 8, 2024 regarding: prevention and resolution of conflict situations
introduces a procedure for dealing with conflict situations. It seems that many of the emerging conflict situations between supervisors and doctoral students could have been avoided by agreeing on the principles of cooperation. The appendix to this communique contains a list of examples of potential topics that are worth discussing with the supervisor. Although such a conversation should take place at the very beginning of cooperation, and therefore will be most useful for doctoral students just starting their education, it is never too late to clarify the issues that concern you. It is much easier to resolve any difficult situations at the beginning, when the conflict has not become more intense.

Let me remind you that in case of various types of problems, you can always contact the Heads of PhD Programmes or me - both when you only expect advice, and when you think that some action is needed on the School's part. Please also note that there are other units at the University to which you can refer to in a difficult situation. They are listed in the Communique.

Communique no. 9/2024 Director of the Doctoral School of Exact and Natural Sciences of July 8, 2024 regarding: support for doctoral students who are parents of small children or take care of a sick family member or a child with a disability certificate.
concern additional help for people with disabilities, parents of small children, or other people in difficult life situations. As you can read, these Communiques are quite general, as it is impossible to list all the challenges such people may face. Nevertheless, I declare that if additional support is possible, the School will work to implement it. Anticipating your questions - it is not possible for the School to provide financial support. This results from both legal regulations and the limited school budget.

I would like to add that similar Communiques will also be introduced in other Doctoral Schools of the Jagiellonian University.

I am very grateful to all the people who consulted these Communiques, especially the members of the PhD Students Association (TD UJ).
