We would like to invite PhD Candidates of JU to take part in a group visit to the Cracow Philharmonic Orchestra (Filharmonia Krakowska) to listen a symphonic concert together.
As part of the 'Symphonic Bridges - Stars with Sinfonietta' project, the Sinfonietta Cracovia chamber orchestra will perform conducted by the young Estonian musician Anu Tali. The role of soloist on the violin will be played by Stephen Waarts. The repertoire consists of four works: Passion (from Action. passion. Illusion) for strings composed by Erkki-Sven Tüür, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 5 KV 219, Fratres for violin, string orchestra and percussion by Arvo Pärt and Krzysztof Penderecki's Sinfonietta No. 3 (in celebration of the composer's 90th birthday).
The concert will take place on November 29 and will start at 7:30 PM in the Concert Hall of the Cracow Philharmonic Orchestra (Sala Koncertowa Filharmonii Krakowskiej) at Zwierzyniecka Street 1 in Cracow. Participation in the event costs 10 PLN.
For organizational reasons, please declare your willingness to participate in the event in advance. The registration form is open until November 23.
The number of places is limited and amounts to 20. The order of applications decides.
